Insider’s Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) tool, helps Business Managers to manage risk and exposure in their corporate banking environments.

Using low-overhead data extraction agents, Sentra sends financial lifecycle data transactions to a Microsoft SQL database. Real-time rules are set to trap and alert on abnormal conditions, or to highlight a problem in the transaction flow.
Alerts can trigger graphical displays, email, SNMP traps, SMS or Pager technology, or connect to enterprise management frameworks.

- Agent-based data capture Sentra agents have been written to monitor payments from proprietary payments applications
- Monitor any XML-based payment format XML Sentra also includes an agent that can capture and monitor any XML data feed. This can has been used to monitor any payment that conforms to the UNIFI standard. The agent can also be used to monitor proprietary XML-based payment formats
- Integrated monitoring of any 3rd party application Sentra can also monitor statistics generated from any 3rd party (payments or otherwise) application that generates instrumentation data in the form of a structured log file or an XML data file or data stream. All of this data can be monitored and viewed from Sentra’s web console using a variety of fully configurable service views
- Lifecycle graphics in Web or Windows formats
- The whole lifecycle of a financial transaction can be viewed.
- Rules engine permanently watches the transaction flow and the financial flow
- Sentra’s rules engine can monitor service levels and alerts can be triggered based on the monetary values or throughput rates of transactions. There are many more examples of such value-added applications that can be provided within the core Sentra framework.
- Financial performance dashboards
- Sentra can display key performance characteristics, e.g. the financial rates of processing of certain transactions.
- On-line reporting
- Sentra’s reports are based on Microsoft Reporting Services. Hierarchical and drill down reports can be user defined and easily generated by the customer. Reports can be scheduled and forwarded automatically via email.
- Centralised security and administration
- Sentra is in use in some of the most secure environments in the Financial, Military and Government sectors. Sentra will deploy itself across a network via automated tasks and will permanently monitor the health of its own components.
